film.

Honestly when i think about the possibility of capturing someones most perfect day, my heart races and i can't seem to get a hold of the pounding in my chest. I crave it. I need it. And i'm impatient to experience it, and see the finished product.

My wedding day was perfect in its own way, and i love relieving it through pictures, and the few videos i have. Since then i haven't been able to quit this adrenaline like feeling that surrounds a wedding day. The joy. The coming together. The dancing! And the smiles that are contagious. I want to capture all of that. And i want you to remember that day how it was. The stolen kisses. The killer dance moves. The cake smashing. And the sweet hugs from family and friends. You should have that preserved in your mind, and save those happy thoughts for a rainy day.

I'm excited to dive in head first into filming not only these big moments in your lives, but the small ones too. Date nights, spontaneous road trips, missionaries coming home.. you name it. i'll film it. i want you to have memories that you can jump back into to.

Lets create something together.

i needed this today.

"Hope is an abiding trust that the Lord will fulfill His promises to you. It is manifest in confidence, optimism, enthusiasm, and patient perseverance. It is believing and expecting that something will occur. When you have hope, you work through trials and difficulties with the confidence and assurance that all things will work together for your good. Hope helps you conquer discouragement. The scriptures often describe hope in Jesus Christ as the assurance that you will inherit eternal life in the celestial kingdom."

I've lacked hope these past few months, and have been searching for the direction i need to be going. I guess this is little nudge i need to go forward confidently, and not look back.. Only look to Him.

one nation under God.

Right after we graduated from high school, i remember sitting in my loft with bobby and he got this serious look on his face. He asked me if i could ever marry someone in the military. I didn't even hesitate in saying no. My reasoning in that i was afraid of my husband dying, or our family just getting used to him not being there. I could tell he wasn't happy with that answer, but was sweet in telling me why he wanted to join. After that we didn't really talk about it seriously.
Fast forward a few years later and i find myself smitten with this kid all over again. And this time around, I couldn't bring myself to say no. When he asked if i could live a military lifestyle, as hard as it would be.. All i could see was him in a uniform and me running to him. So, i knew i was in it for the long haul.

I knew basic training was going to be long for the both of us. He was gone from may to september and i barely made it by the skin of my teeth. It was rough, and i was mess for the most of it but we did it! Okay lets be real, he did. He was the one doing push ups and running in over 100 degree weather! But i'm so glad its over. Being newly married, and still trying to figure this whole wife thing out with your husband states away.. wasn't ideal. But here we are for the better.

So, here's to more years in camouflage and waiting impatiently by the phone.

hello again

I've promised myself for so long that i would be better at keeping a record of our little life. So here i am diving back into this blogging thing. But this time its for me. To write as much or as little as i want. To paint this little corner of the internet with video's and pictures of the things that make me happy.

So, hello again blogosphere. Its been awhile.
