one nation under God.

Right after we graduated from high school, i remember sitting in my loft with bobby and he got this serious look on his face. He asked me if i could ever marry someone in the military. I didn't even hesitate in saying no. My reasoning in that i was afraid of my husband dying, or our family just getting used to him not being there. I could tell he wasn't happy with that answer, but was sweet in telling me why he wanted to join. After that we didn't really talk about it seriously.
Fast forward a few years later and i find myself smitten with this kid all over again. And this time around, I couldn't bring myself to say no. When he asked if i could live a military lifestyle, as hard as it would be.. All i could see was him in a uniform and me running to him. So, i knew i was in it for the long haul.

I knew basic training was going to be long for the both of us. He was gone from may to september and i barely made it by the skin of my teeth. It was rough, and i was mess for the most of it but we did it! Okay lets be real, he did. He was the one doing push ups and running in over 100 degree weather! But i'm so glad its over. Being newly married, and still trying to figure this whole wife thing out with your husband states away.. wasn't ideal. But here we are for the better.

So, here's to more years in camouflage and waiting impatiently by the phone.

hello again

I've promised myself for so long that i would be better at keeping a record of our little life. So here i am diving back into this blogging thing. But this time its for me. To write as much or as little as i want. To paint this little corner of the internet with video's and pictures of the things that make me happy.

So, hello again blogosphere. Its been awhile.
